If you are attempting to use a download code or system from a different region (a European download code with a North American system, for example), the download code will not work. (For example, a code sold for use in Japan can only be redeemed with a Nintendo Account and/or Nintendo eShop also set to Japan.) A download code can only be redeemed on a Nintendo eShop set to the same region as the game. Verify that the country setting on your system is correct on your Nintendo Switch, Wii U or Nintendo 3DS family system. (For example, a 0 may look like an 8, a 5 may look like a 2, etc). If some numbers are hard to read, try entering similar numbers. Games can only be redeemed on the system for which they are intended. Games: The download code must be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch, Wii U or Nintendo 3DS family systems. If using saved credit card information, enter the four-to-eight character password and skip to step 8. If credit card information is saved to the Nintendo eShop, select Use This Credit Card or Use Another Credit Card. Select the type of credit card (VISA/MasterCard). Select Add Funds Using a Credit Card, then select the dollar amount ($10, $20, $50, $100 or Needed Funds) and then Yes. Once they have fully downloaded, you can tap them to access the software. Downloaded items appear as a gift on the HOME Menu. Once deleted, Nintendo eShop purchases can be redownloaded at no cost.
